Tony is a civil litigator with broad experience representing private and governmental clients in business, civil rights, and injury lawsuits. Tony served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Arizona Attorney General’s Office from 2018-2022, where he worked in the Solicitor General’s Office, focusing on Appeals and Constitutional Litigation. He has worked on and led challenges to federal and state statutes and regulations in both state and federal courts, including matters involving the First, Second, Fourth, Fifth, Eighth, and Fourteenth Amendments to the U.S. Constitution, argued in the Arizona Court of Appeals, and written briefs filed before the U.S. Supreme Court. He has experience in administrative law, bringing challenges under the Administrative Procedure Act on behalf of public and private clients, and has also engaged in matters involving the Class Action Fairness Act, Prison Litigation Reform Act, and Energy Policy and Conservation Act, among others. Prior to the Attorney General’s Office, Tony represented private business clients in California and the Washington, D.C., area in contract disputes, corporate governance disputes, and product liability cases. He also has experience in local government matters, litigating zoning issues and having served as a lead on the Attorney General’s Open Meeting Law Enforcement Team.
